Writing, Editorial Services, and Copywriting
I'm a freelance writer with nearly ten years of experience in screenwriting, project development, pitching, and packaging, and writing assistance for television and film. I also do editorial work and ghostwriting, as well as commercial copywriting, primarily in New York City, but sometimes from other creative outposts, too. The work I do also has its own strange geography, like navigating between different rooms of the same creative house.
What I do best is translate complex ideas into stories that connect with people. I take the abstract and knotted and make it comprehensible. Not simple, but lucid and accessible. I love to create emotional resonance with ideas that, at first glance, might seem purely intellectual. There's something delicate about this process, like working with soap bubbles: creating a meaningful shape out of nothing, knowing it will drift and transform.
When I collaborate, I listen carefully enough that someone else's vision temporarily becomes mine. Every project gets deep research, intellectual care, and what I hope is very good taste.
I'm currently looking for my next project, which is to say the next chance to disappear into someone's creative vision and help bring it to life.
